Spring’s Voices
--
Getting used to chirping birds is not easy. The forest’s winter quietness permits a certain freedom of thought, without invasive sound. I have forgotten what forests are like, further south, but here in the north, in Lappland, spring is truly a great awakening, and something of a jolt. So I take to the woods, to familiarise myself with the new scenery, without snow, and silence, for my collection of ideas.
